Why Quex Livery Glamping?

We are unique in offering individual Kitchen AND Bathroom facilities to each Bell Tent.

Being kind to our beautiful environment is very important to us.

Our site runs on Solar energy. Wherever possible we have upcycled and recycled materials for our facilities. The Eco composting toilet discharges no waste and is emptied, and only ever has the fresh, lovely aroma of woodshavings!!

Compostable toilets are emptied each day.

The Bathrooms themselves are made of upcycled horse trailers. Recycled and waxed scaffold boards make the flooring warm underfoot. Copper pans are the attractive wash basins, and re-cyled tables are the washstands. Gas powered showers keep you fresh for your coming day.

The outdoor kitchen has everything you need to whip up a delicious meal.  Pots, pans, plates and cups, and wine glasses compliment your own private BBQ. Cook locally sourced meat from our on site farm shop, accompanied by delicious local deli-produce. Buy local craft beers or Kent Wines, chilled to perfection in your own fridge, round off your meal perfectly.

Sit back and relax on our sun loungers, or play games on your private 45m x 16m grass play area.

And Finally, the luxury Bell Tent provides the perfect place to relax and sleep. Sit on the comfortable sofa, and snuggle your feet in to the hairy Mongolian rugs before retiring to bed. The kingsize bed has a sprung memory foam mattress and bedframe, adorned with egyptian cotton linen.  Hotel quality quilts with hypo allergenic pillows ensure a good nights’ sleep. Bedside L.E.D Tilley lamps bring soft ambient light to the tent, while the solar powered electric allows you to run and charge your devices.

Pods are inclusive of:

A luxuriously fitted out Bell Tent, with a king-size bed, cosy rugs and comfortable seating.

Your own Eco Shower Room and toilet, created in a beautifully repurposed horse trailer.

A pergola style outdoor Kitchen/food prep area

Fridge

A firepit to keep you warm and for BBQ’ing when the sun sets on a balmy summer evening.

Other Available Activities

In addition to offering you the peace and tranquillity from your busy life, our site is situated on Quex Park, one of the region’s leading destinations.

Quex Park boasts an oasis away from the busy world if you need to recharge your batteries. We offer the loveliest woodland walks, 38 different species of birds, squirrels and other wildlife. There are many types of old oak trees, amongst others, and acres of arable farmland, skirted by 2.8 miles of long grass gallops.

Alternatively, if you wish to explore what is on offer at Quex Park, walk to the Quex Barn Farm shop and Restaurant or book your session to play Crazy Golf, Paintball or Laser Tag at Quex Activity Centre.  If you want to immerse yourself in heritage and culture, visit the award-winning Powell-Cotton Museum, Quex House and Gardens, and enjoy a fine afternoon tea at Felicitys Cafe.

For the kids, Quex Park offers the fantastic The Jungle Indoor and Outdoor Play Centre, Birds of Prey displays, and the ‘The Watering Hole’ Restaurant.

The Craft Village offers has a selection of authentic Artisans and Crafters, selling unique handmade items.

Thanet Attractions and Eating Out

The local area boasts many award-winning attractions and we urge you to explore Thanet. From the Turner Gallery and Dreamland to the very curious Shell Grotto in Margate, Thanet offers an exceptional choice of activities, attractions and experiences.  Theatres, casino’s, and a vast selection of pubs and award-winning restaurants in the local towns of Broadstairs and Ramsgate are well worth a visit! We are a also just a 10 minute walk from Birchington Village which boasts a fine selection of lovely eateries.

Miles of award winning Blue Flag sandy beaches surround the whole coast, with access for horses at set times of the year (details upon request).
